Oskar Rough Mosumgaard is a pretty swell name. They say that all the time in Mad Men, swell I mean. It’s almost as good sounding as the Psyched Up Janis album of same name: Swell.
But anyway, Fela Anikulapo Kuti is even more swell. And not just his popular name. His birthname is Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti. I want that. His mother is called Funmilayo, his father Oludotun and his two brothers Beko and Olikoye.
Fela Kuti made and possibly invented Afrobeat, jazz, funk and Africa all mixed together.
